Pharmakon ("we," "us," "our") operates the Texas Local Rules Engine, a subscription-based search tool for Texas court local rules, accessible at pharmakon.legal and pharmakon.io.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account information: Your name and email address when you create an account.
- Payment information: Your billing details are collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not receive, store, or have access to your credit card numbers or full payment card details. Stripe provides us with limited information such as the last four digits of your card, card type, and billing address for record-keeping purposes.
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage logs: We collect basic usage data including search queries submitted through the tool, timestamps, and feature usage patterns. This helps us improve the product and diagnose issues.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information transmitted during normal use of the service.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- Credit card numbers or full payment card details (Stripe handles all payment processing)
- Social Security numbers or government-issued identification
- Data from your Claude Desktop application or Anthropic account
- Contents of your legal matters, case files, or client information beyond search queries
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain your subscription to the Texas Local Rules Engine
- Process payments and send billing-related communications
- Send service-related notices (downtime, updates, rule database refreshes)
- Respond to your support requests
- Improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles or make automated decisions about you.
Third-Party Service Providers
We share information with the following third-party processors, solely to operate the service:

These providers process data under their own privacy policies and applicable data protection agreements. We do not share your data with any other third parties.
The Texas Local Rules Engine delivers results through a .skill file that runs on your Claude Desktop application. Your interactions with Claude are governed by Anthropic's privacy policy and your own Anthropic account terms. We do not receive or process data from your Claude sessions beyond the API queries made to our database.
Data Retention
- Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active, plus 90 days after cancellation.
- Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required for tax and accounting compliance.
- Usage logs: Retained for 12 months, then deleted or anonymized.
- Support correspondence: Retained for 24 months after resolution.
You may request deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us. Deletion requests will be processed within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.
Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Export your account data in a portable format
- Opt out of non-essential communications

Children's Privacy
The Texas Local Rules Engine is designed for licensed attorneys and legal professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
